Start with one thing, and everything flows from there. I, personally, would start with the Beatles. Then after you knwo enough of them and there music, go along the timeline. Next, Rolling Stones, then the Who, then Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. It works a lot better if you do it chronologically.
Start out by listening to some old 50’s rock music then 60’s,70’s and 80’s.
I think you would appreciate and respect the music more as you listen. That’s actually How i started and i do respect classic rock the bands and the songs they written.
Start by checking out an iMix on iTunes. This one looks great!
Here’s an idea: check out Badfinger.
They were a great band and one of the most underrated bands of all time…not to mention that they had what is probably the most tragic story in rock history.
Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac to start, mate. Progress to bands like Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rush. from there go to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, KISS, etc.
try listening to the allman brothers band, bob dylan, zeppelin, pink floyd, yes, cat stevens, tom petty, stones, beatles, etc.
Start with the most common ones
Rolling Stones
Little Richard
The Beatles
Pink Floyd(sucks imo)
Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith
Then start listening to the artist they influence
Here’s a radio station that plays nothing but Classic Rock, you can listen to it live online.http://www.thebayonline.com/index.shtml
Not sure but I think youre supposed to start listening to classic rock or something.
Find a classic rock radio station.
Find a classic rock radio station in your area and listen to it. You will find what you like.
Velvet Underground.
listen to the album Back in Black by AC/DC.that’s how i started.
