What I Hate About SpamWhat I hate most about spam is the vengeance some have taken against their Fellow Internet users because of this word. There is a need by some to annihilate people in business for what THEY consider to be a violation of someone else's almighty rights. Our new Medium is being hijacked by power mongers of a very selfish, unyielding, philosophy - their own. When a person decides to do business on the Internet, they are stepping into a WORLDWIDE MARKET. It is the new frontier. Some have staked their claim to pieces of it as if it was THEIR personal property. Others suffer because of cruel and unjust actions and no one knows - yet - what to do about it. However, the lines are drawn. The Internet belongs to the World not to a handful of Fanatics. It is said that the one who yells the loudest and spouts rules and regs to the most, gets the prize. That is what's happening. The vigilanties are getting a foothold and taking it to the bank. Power has reared it's ugly head. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nothing's changed. Collateral damage be damned! I pray there are cool, reasoning heads in Congress. Those that will look at ALL needs of business in regards to the mighty communication medium called e-mail. Those that currently have the power to shut off innocent business owners are forging ahead collecting everyone they can to aid their master agenda. Not all think like these people when they follow their leaders, they just don't know any better. They are like dumb driven cattle, being lead by a cruel pied piper, over grave sites of businesses, and they are proud of their days work. Money rules the world - and the Internet is next in line to be bought. Another piece of freedom - under attack. The FREEDOM ON THE INTERNET! That's what I hate most about this man-made four letter word called - spam... ___________________________________________________________ Bobbette Madonna, Copyright 2001 - is the Publisher/Editor of LOGON NewZine and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ShopMyState.com LOGON is published in text and HTML every Monday and is dedicated to the marketing and promotion of our customers' and clients' web site business that are within our system.
