WHERE IS YOUR TESTIMONIAL?

I see a lot of people promoting Affiliate/Associate programs on the net, but many of them don't even have their own website, or worst yet, their own testimonials on why anyone should join the program with them or make a purchase.

I have read a ton of information by marketing experts and guru's who say you must have your own website if you want to make any money from your affiliate programs. With your own website you can add the testimonials that link to your Affiliate/Associate. But very few do it.

WHY? I will tell you why I think this is. I used to do the same thing when I started out marketing products and services on the net a few years ago.

I envisioned it like this-( I was in FANTASY land at the time ). Just get signed up and use the affiliate's FREE self replicating website, get out some FREE advertising on a ton of FFA link sites, classifieds, and do some on-going search engine submissions, and then get ready for that BIG FAT CHECK at the end of the month!

Boy, was I really lost in Cyberspace in those days! Any way, the big fat check never arrived as I had so carefully planned. With hundreds of precious hours wasted, I realized that I was not an Internet marketing expert overnight, and I needed some serious retooling of my strategy.

I scratched my head, and thought, " Maybe there is more to this Internet marketing than I thought."

So I went back to the drawing board, and started to listen to people -( I even shelled out hard earned money for this )- who were truly making money online.

Money well spent! I am not claiming to have become a millionaire yet, but the information I have absorbed from these successful people have definitely put me light years ahead of most people online who are just marketing by the seat of their pants.

Also, I have come to realize that many people think that just because they have access to the World now, they are all of a sudden by magic -"POOF"- the Wizard of OZ of marketing online! LOL! Sorry, I just had to laugh thinking of how naive I was when I first started out.

Thinking, then doing and then making money are many times worlds apart. I realized,too, that most of the people who are successful online were successful in marketing offline for many years! And they use TESTIMONIALS regularly. More rather than less, and sooner rather than later!

WOW what a revelation! What a concept! What a coincidence! No not really. I just woke up, and smelt the cybercafe coffee.

So do yourself a favor -( I hate to say this, since you have probably heard it a million times )- don't reinvent the wheel, and do share your testimonial.

Oh, and don't forget that thing called your own "Domain Name" to start personalizing your own content, i.e. your own testimonials linked to your Affiliate/Associate programs.
