Do You Use The Power Of Questions?Generally, what do you think is the quickest way to initiate a conversation? Could it be by asking a question?Never think that just any old question will do ... BE creative, but be SPECIFIC. As a publisher, I get a large number of emails requesting more information from paid advertising. The subject line will have 'Tell me more', or 'We're interested' and I simply have NO idea of WHAT people are looking for. Then, when I open the email, it's completely BLANK inside. Do I need a crystal ball? When we use the power of questions, we must realize that this method of peaking reader interest always involves crafting BETTER questions. Questions create immediate curiosity. Approaching prospects with a good question is always a good idea. Why? Because you increase the possibility of continued reader interest. Most people basically love to get answers to the mysteries of life and online business. Questions encourage interaction and that's what relationship marketing is built upon! Tips to consider: 1.) Be personable and professional, but always remain friendly. 2.) Be specific when you ask questions. DON'T be afraid to ASK ... The answer could be a resounding YES! 3.) Be willing to engage in communication ... doesn't matter if it's by telephone, email, or instant messenger. Remember ... communication AND asking questions should always be a two way street. Participation by BOTH parties will always be needed, in order for everyone to benefit. 4.) What's always a good way to determine if two different people are 'on the same page'? ASK Questions! 5.) You can even provide the answers to your own questions. Open e-doors, build prospect lists and customer bases, by just asking questions. Questions are valuable in all of your communications. Don't pry or get too personal. 6.) Remember your manners. Always be sure to thank the person for their time and consideration and feedback :) 7.) If you think you're weak on asking questions, ask yourself this question..... "How many e-business questions did I ask last week?" Examples: "Is it possible to create a mini-website with no funds?" "Where Do I Find Reports and Books with Reprint Rights?" "What successful methods are you using for promoting your service or product?" You're already becoming a question pro. Jot down some business questions and improve your relationship marketing skills!
