Chicago is the city that works. The city of
big shoulders. Chicago contains North Americas tallest
building and one of the worlds largest office buildings. It is
a city where the ubiquitous el trains create an almost
deafening clatter. The city looks big. Feels big. Is big. (more)
The waves of the great lake lapped against the
shore, but the water would not be stopped. For miles Lake
Michigan flooded the land, seeping into every crevice it could
find with an unsatiable thirst to reclaim the geographic
region that it had dominated for thousands of years. But even
the great lake could not defeat the ice age, and by the time
the area was settled by local Indian tribes, it had been

border. (more)
Theres something to suit everyones appetite,
from the classic Chicago-style pizza at Ginos East or Pizzeria
Uno to mouthwatering hotdogs to pound-heavy T-bones. Fine
dining establishments (including the renowned Charlie
Trotters) are top-of-the-line and plentiful. Many excellent
ethnic eateries also flourish here, whether you're in the mood
for Southern soul food, hands-only Ethiopian, Indian curries,
or spicy Thai. (more)
For Art, Film, Museums and entertainment you

Chicagos recommended tours include The Museum Campus Tour.
Just east of the Loop, you'll find The Adler Planetarium,
Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum, connected by a newly created
museum campus. You could spend an entire day in each of the
museums, but don't get so caught-up in the museum crawl that
you neglect the campus itself. (more)
