Video Poker at the Be A Winner Casino

Jacks or Better

The payout schedule is shown in a table above the cards on the game screen (see example above). Winning hands will be paid out according to the number of coins bet. The deck consists of 52 cards, which are shuffled after every completed hand. The total amount won depends on the amount of coins bet, and the value of each coin.

How to Place Bets

There are four coin sizes to chose from: 50¢, $1, $5 and $10 chips.  Select the coin size from the square located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.

Once you have selected the coin size, place your bet by clicking (to highlight) a column on the paytable above the cards, to indicate the number of coins you wish to bet on the hand.  For instance, if you highlight the first (leftmost) column, you have bet one coin of the coin size chosen; if you highlight the second column, you have bet two coins of the coin size chosen, and so forth up to a maximum of five coins of the coin size chosen (the fifth column on the right).

How to Play

Once you have placed your bet, click on the "DEAL" button, and a five-card hand will appear on the screen. To hold a card, click on the card itself.  The word "HOLD" will be highlighted below the card, and the held card(s) will be circled in red. To clear the hold, simply click on the card again.

Once you are satisfied with the cards you are holding, click on the "DRAW" button.  All cards that have not been held will turn over, new cards will replace them, and the outcome of the game will be decided on these final cards.

Payments will be made to you accordingly.  If you leave the game before the completion of a hand, you will have the opportunity to finish the hand when you return.

Doubling and Payouts

Each doubling action gives you the opportunity to double the current value of the payout. However, should you lose, you stand the chance of losing all of your payout from that hand.

After completing a winning hand, you will be given the chance either to double the payout made to you or to collect your winnings.  The "DOUBLE" and "COLLECT" buttons will appear on the toolbar below the cards. To collect your winnings, click on the "COLLECT" button. Once you collect, the hand is finished and you may start another hand and play again.  However, if you would like to try to win more by doubling, click on the "DOUBLE" button and five new cards will be dealt. The first card (on the extreme left) is the dealer's card and is left exposed. The remaining four cards are dealt face down.  Select one of the face-down cards by clicking on the card's surface. The four cards will turn over to be revealed.  If the card you chose is higher than the dealer's card, you will win an amount double that of your original payout.

You will again have the option to continue to double or collect.  If your chosen card is of an equal rank (a tie), it is considered a "push", and no money will be won or lost.  In the event of a push, you have the option to continue to double or collect.  If the card you chose is smaller than the dealer's card, you lose and will not receive any payout.
